Virtual or In-person Consultation
Contact us to book a virtual or in-person confidential consultation. We are here to support you with all of your educational needs. We have extensive experience in helping parents support their children academically, emotionally and socially.

Review, Analysis, and Recommendations
After your complimentary consultation, we will review your child’s assessments and reports. This can include IEPs, Report Cards, Psychoeducational Assessments and specialist reports. Following we will provide you with an in-depth overview of your child’s learning needs. This will include:

-
A written report of suggested learning strategies and/or accommodations
-
Referrals and/or resources within your community

We will then follow up with an in-person or virtual meeting to discuss the recommendations suggested and use this time to answer questions and/or give feedback for next steps.
Academic Profile
In addition to the follow up consultation and report, we can put together an Academic Profile for your child. The benefit of an Academic Profile is that any teacher or specialist will have quick access to your child’s personalized learning needs, strengths, preferred learning styles and a brief overview of your child’s current and past assessments. We recommend this profile for children who do not yet have an IEP.
Extracurricular Profile
Is your child involved in any after school programs? We can convert your child’s Academic Profile into an informal learning tool that can be used to help support your child in everyday situations such as extracurricular programs, coaching situations, camp, child care or babysitting. This tool is useful for parents who would like to give the person in charge a brief overview of their child’s strengths, needs and learning preferences so they can be properly supported and successful during these programs.
Goal Setting and Tracking
We can help you prioritize your child's academic and emotional needs by helping you identify short term and long term goals for your child. We will teach you how to collect data and track progress towards reaching these goals.

TEAM meetings can often feel rushed or overwhelming for parents. We can attend school and professional meetings with you to help facilitate open communication between yourself and your child’s school. You can rely on us as a second pair of ears in the room to ensure that no information gets lost or misinterpreted.
Transition Planning
A transition plan is needed for all students as their educational journey evolves. This can include:
-
Transitioning from home to school
-
Transitioning from an early years programs to kindergarten
-
Transitioning from one grade level to the next
-
Transitioning from one academic institution to another
-
Transitioning from secondary school to post secondary education
Transitions also happen many times throughout the day. Transitions occur as your child moves into a new lesson, activity or a new school environment, like gym class, recess or lunch. Transitions can be challenging for the best of us, but they can be especially difficult and frustrating for students with special education needs and their families. Let us help ease these transitions by ensuring sufficient strategies are in place for your child’s continued success. We will work as a team in collaboration with you and your child’s school to come up with an action plan for transitional success.
We strongly recommend this service for children who will be transitioning into a new school. It will help to facilitate open communication and continuity of needs between educational institutions in order for you to feel relaxed and secure about this change. Whether this transition be to elementary school, middle school, high school or private school, we have your needs covered.
Executive Functioning Development
Executive functioning skills are the Learning Skills on your child’s report card. They are a set of learned skills that help us to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and directives effectively and regulate behaviour to achieve goals. These include task initiation and follow through, planning and organization, working memory, performance monitoring, flexibility, inhibition of impulses, and self-regulation.
Students with weak executive functioning skills may act forgetful and disorganized. They may have a hard time getting started on assignments and easily become distracted and/or lose focus on their task at hand. These children may have an emotional outburst when routines are changed or expectations set by themselves or others are not being met. For example, your child may get angry or upset when they feel overloaded by school work and deadlines and cannot seem to manage well.
The good news is that executive functioning skills are learned through repetition and practice. We can help your child develop these skills by giving them the tools and individualized strategies they require to improve their executive functioning output.
